do you think oval,and drag racing is real racing?
I went to watch some oval racing in america. i enjoyed my self at first when i was walking around looking at all the sweet cars but i got so bored watching them go round and round and round. NO FUN. I watch drag racing a lot at santa pod and i think its amazing, but apart from the reaction times at the beginning its all cars and no skill. I my self have been racing for 7 years, one year in formula ford and 6 years in karts, and obviously the racing i do is very different to oval racing and drag racing but i want to know what other people think and why!??
yes i do. why? as a racer yourself you know the thrills, adrenaline, and challenges associated with this sport. it doesn’t matter what or how you race, the goal is the same to win and achieve a certain status within your particular group. i have raced what ever i could get my hands on for 25 years, i have raced cars (dirt track oval), dragged (once didn’t like it), motocross, flat track (atv), bmx, and Mountain bikes. besides drag racing (to boring didn’t like sitting around for hours between rounds) i chariest and looked forward to each and every race. it didn’t matter to me if i was in a car or on a bicycle, that drive, need to win and compete was there. as a racing fan also i have been in the stands and will admit sometimes the racing gets boring. but then something happens where you say holly crap that was awesome. as far as skill goes, come on being a racer yourself you know it takes skill (at any level). if i just jumped into one of your machines it would definitely take me at least a race or two to figure them out. i would have to hone my skills to that particular form of racing. could i win? idk i never raced in that type of machine or on a road type of course. heck i never even raced on asphalt (besides the 1 time at the drag strip), im a dirt tracker. well there you have it that’s my opinion, good luck with your racing efforts, win one for me.
